WJR Camp 2013 Staff Applications

Camp PhilosophyWJR Camp
The World Jump Rope Camp will provide each camper with a positive learning experience. In addition to developing new jump rope skills, the camp will also focus on building self-confidence and teamwork. The teaching staff will be comprised of jumpers selected from around the world who will incorporate the most up-to-date teaching techniques from beginner to master’s level jump rope skills. Each camper will be placed in a group with other jumpers of similar abilities, and each group will be led by a staff member(s) who will teach challenging yet appropriate skills for all in the group. The camp emphasizes all aspects of jump rope, and encourages each participant to set personal goals in order to develop to the fullest potential. Each session will offer opportunities to learn and share new ideas and jump rope skills. Combining participants of all ages and abilities from all over the world allows unlimited learning opportunities!

Eligibility
Boys, girls, adults, teachers, and coaches are eligible to participate in the World Jump Rope Camp. Anyone may participate as an individual or as part of a team.

Health and Safety
The World Jump Rope Camp does not provide medical insurance for campers. In the event of illness or injury requiring treatment, hospitalization, and/or surgery, the family or their medical insurance are responsible for the cost. For minor injuries, a camp trainer will be on site and a physician will be on call. The Participant Release and Indemnity Agreement must be signed before registration is processed.

What to Bring
Campers will not need much spending money during camp. There will be souvenirs available for purchase as well as extra jump ropes, snacks, and drinks. Campers will need to bring shorts, shirts, socks, comfortable shoes for jumping, toiletry items, and jump ropes.

Awards
Awards will be given out throughout the camp to recognize hard work and determination!
