If you are competing at the 2019 WJRF Championships in Norway this year and will be between the ages of 18-35 during the competition, you will be in the pool of athletes eligible for anti-doping control. If you are in this pool and taking any type of medication or supplements, it is your responsibility to check if your medications are on the Prohibited List. If they are, a TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption) is necessary. Please see below for more information.
What do you need to do to?
- Check the 2019 WADA Prohibited Listfor any therapeutic medications, drug, or methods you are using. The prohibited list can be found at: https://www.wada-ama.org/sites/default/files/wada_2019_english_prohibited_list.pdf
- If your therapeutic medications, drugs, or methods are NOT on the WADA Prohibited List then you do not need to submit a Therapeutic Use Exemption Form.
- If your therapeutic medications, drugs, or methods are on the WADA Prohibited List then you need to fill out the WJRF Therapeutic Use Exemption Form.
TUE forms are due for review by the physicians on the TUE panel no later than March 31, 2019. Please email the form and any necessary medical documentation/records to to email@example.com
